Science Certified
Providing outdoor recreation guides with the best available science
Visitors want to learn about the places they’re visiting
WHAT IS THE SCIENCE CERTIFIED TRAINING?
Program Description
Science Certified is a customized training that equips outdoor recreation guides to effectively communicate place-based science and stewardship information to their clients. This program will educate guides, who will then educate visitors, about the science relevant to this desert region, as well as how — and why — to tread lightly on the landscape, using local research and scientific information as the conduit.
Place Based Science Education Tailored Specifically to Guides
- Meet the growing demand for educational tourism
- Transform client experiences with the Moab desert
- Distinguish your tours with customized, science-based interpretation
- Invest in your guides’ professional development
MINI-SERIES 2024
We’re trying something new this fall!
Based on feedback from local guide companies (aka YOU), we’re trying out a smaller version of the training in October 2024. Big thanks to our awesome sponsor, Wildland Trekking, and our friends at Bears Ears Partnership for making this mini-series possible!
